We introduced a Help button in Operator, which guests can use to find instructions for contacting staff if they require assistance with their check-in. We also implemented a police export integration for properties in the Swiss canton of Ticino, and improved how optional reservations are handled in Navigator.

New

  • Introduced a Help button in Operator, which guests can easily use to find instructions for contacting staff if they require assistance with their check-in. To enable this feature, enter your customized message in the Contact instructions field of your Operator configuration.
  • Implemented a police export integration for properties in the Swiss canton of Ticino. This integration exports a daily report that contains all guest information required by Ticino cantonal law.
  • Released a new version of Mews University, specifically for French properties. Our French University features all of the videos that are crucial for properties in this legal environment—contact support today to gain access. We'll be continuously updating both the English and French versions of our University, so stay tuned!
  • Discontinued a feature in the French legal environment which automatically posted rebates when cancelling or modifying items with future consumption. We introduced this feature to be compliant with French accounting law but do not feel that it is the most practical solution. We are continuing to speak with authorities and are looking for a better way to handle future items.

Improved

  • Improved how optional reservations are handled in Navigator by adding options that allow guests to confirm or cancel their reservation from within the app.
  • Updated the Portuguese legal environment so that ID cards are accepted as a valid form of identification from any EU citizen.
  • Improved date fields in Navigator—guests can either type in their date or select it from an easy-to-use calendar.
  • Added a field to Distributor that allows customers to provide their telephone number, making it even easier to communicate with your guests.
  • Updated the German legal environment to apply 7% VAT to no-show fees and 0% VAT to all other cancellation fees.
  • Added figures to the top of the Accounting Report, so you can easily see the total amount of payments and revenue (including outlet revenue) accrued in a specified period of time.
  • Added a new option to stay settings that allows properties in Vienna to automatically apply city tax, so you no longer need to set up products or product rules. Before you make any changes, contact your account manager for more information about enabling this option.

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug that prevented users from searching within the Company field on the customer profile.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed users without the Manage reservations privilege to move a reservation on the Timeline.
  • Fixed a bug that occurred when rounding exchange rate differences, which allowed bills to be closed without being balanced.
